NEXCESS.NET, a provider of shared hosting, dedicated servers, colocation and server clusters, today announced that they will introduce R1Soft Continuous Data Protection (CDP) to offer their clients direct access to their backup data as well as a user-friendly interface that enables easy restores of mission-critical data.

The company explains that R1Soft CDP is a disk-based backup solution that empowers it with features such as bare-metal restores, an easy-to-use interface and centralized management of all backups. It adds that the solution also provides cross-platform capability, increasing the speed and ease of running backups in a mixed environment with Linux and Windows servers.

NEXCESS.NET says that it has deployed CDP to enhance their internal backup system, and will make CDP services initially available to managed Windows dedicated hosting customers as a free value-added service and may eventually offer it as an optional add-on to other services as well.

"R1Soft CDP will allow us to offer a greater level of data protection to our customers, as well as adding another level of redundancy to our own internal backup systems.
