With more than 10,000 customers, PEER 1 is one of the largest web hosting providers in Canada.
The company offers managed hosting and dedicated hosting through its subsidiary, ServerBeach to small and medium businesses.
The company now hopes to build on this success by expanding into Europe, first starting with the UK.
According to the press release, PEER 1 UK has already begun an "aggressive recruitment drive to find the very best technical, sales and customer service talent".
PEER 1 is taking an interesting approach to building its UK team by offering to pay all newly hired employees £1,000 if they want to give up their jobs in the first two weeks.
The initiative is designed to ensure that the company only employs those individuals who are "fully committed to delivering outstanding customer service."
The company has long focused on providing exceptional customer service. It recently launched a new service guarantee program called FirstCall Support, which connects customers with appropriate experts within their very first support desk call to quickly provide them with answers and solutions.
PEER 1 employees are offered many perks, including "Dress Up Smart Day" once a month and "Free Food Day" the day before payday. Every month, the company will run "Cock-up of the Month", an initiative that lets employees "learn from and celebrate mistakes".
To encourage overall morale and reward strong work ethic, there will also be PlayStation systems in the office and "Beer O'Clock" at 4 p.m. on Friday to unwind before the weekend.
