) has hired additional staff, upgraded office equipment and expanded its customer service footprint within the 34SP.com global headquarters.

According to the company's Tuesday announcement, 34sp.com's substantial new investments in its customer service infrastructure will particularly benefit its business hosting customers.

The improvements are the result of an extensive client survey conducted by 34SP.com in January. Querying a number of its 15,000 website hosting clients across its shared and business hosting, and virtual private server and dedicated server divisions. According to the survey results, when given a choice between price, features, working with a local company, or service and support, the vast majority of clients chose "service and support."

"Our clients have clearly confirmed what we have known since launching 34SP.com - service and support are the drivers behind our success and rapid growth," 34SP.com co-founder Stuart Melling said in a statement. "Our clients have rewarded our service focus with loyalty and referral business. These additional investments in our customer service department are an obligation for us in order to maintain the highest levels of service and support. Our clients deserve nothing less."

In addition to increasing its staff by 20 percent, 34SP.com has also improved the chat functionality of its customer service offerings. By increasing its manpower and adding a communication channel for service inquiries, 34SP.com expects to reduce wait times and add to customer convenience.

34SP.com's client survey also revealed that its focus on customer service helped increase referral rates, with 98 percent responding that they would recommend 34SP.com.

In November 2009, 34SP.com announced major upgrades to its reseller hosting program, helping simplify multiple domain hosting with an online control panel where they can add, delete or modify their domain hosting as they wish. The 34SP.com reseller hosting plan enables users to simultaneously host 50 websites as standard, and includes support for 500 mailboxes, 50 MySQL databases, 1.5 GB of disk space, and 15GB of monthly transfer.
