📅 - Web hosting provider AllureHost (allurehost.com -> hostinger.com) announced on Monday it has launched a semi-dedicated web hosting solution (allurehost.com/hosting/semi-dedicated-hosting.html), designed for those users who have outgrown shared hosting and are looking to moving to dedicated servers.
Semi-dedicated servers offer a step-up from virtual private servers in that there is a strict limit imposed on the total number of users per server. Additionally, each account is guaranteed access to system resources, such as processor cycles and hard drive I/O access.
Recognizing this need among its existing and potential customers, AllureHost has decided to offer this new semi-dedicated hosting plan. AllureHost fully manages and maintains all semi-dedicated servers.
The new accounts are hosted on dual or quad core servers with between 10 and 15 other users, with each user receiving an allotment of system resources, a dedicated IP address, SSH access, and 24-hour technical support.
Unlike many other semi-dedicated providers, AllureHost does not offer "unlimited" multiple domain hosting because it says it would be impossible to regulate the resources used by those domains. As such, each users is allotted only two domains per account.

AllureHost hosts customers in the LiquidWeb data center in Lansing, Michigan. The facility features a fully redundant infrastructure, including a 2500kVA utility power feed, multiple Kohler 1250kVA diesel generators, and Liebert PDU Units.
