Oct 7, 2008 : iWeb Restructures Management

📅 October 7, 2008 - Web hosting provider iWeb Group (iweb.com ) announced on Tuesday it has made key changes in the company's management structure.

iWeb co-founder Martin Leclair is now president of products and technology, former CFO Marc Guindon becomes executive vice president of resources, and former corporate controller Philip Tousignant has been appointed to chief financial officer of the company.

This is just the latest in a series of ongoing changes to the company this year in an effort to expand its operations. The company has reinforced its financing by increased its term loans facility to receive an additional $1 million of total credit with the Bank of Montreal in February, and signing a $22 million financing agreement with Goldman Sachs Credit Partners in August.

In March, iWeb launched its brand new corporate identity and coinciding website, and just last week, the company opened its new head office in the Nuns' Island area of Montreal, Canada.

Leclair has long been actively involved in the evolution and development of new technologies within the company. In his new role as president of products and technology, he will further strengthen iWeb's position as a leader in the IP infrastructure hosting industry.

Guindon, on the other hand, will be responsible for material, financial and human resources in his new role of executive VP of resources.

Tousignant previously held various financial functions at Bombardier and Avestor before joining iWeb in May 2007.

Rounding out the rest of iWeb's management team is president and CEO Éric Chouinard, VP of sales and marketing Sylvain Leclair, VP of development and automation Hugo Dénommée, and VP of global IT infrastructure Cyrille Mertès.

The company says it will soon announce changes within the customer service departments, and has recently filled the new positions of director of client management, project manager of continuous improvement, and director of managed services.

iWeb provides web hosting and IT infrastructure services, which it houses from its three secure data centers in Montreal.
