Sep 22, 2008 : KEMP Opens European HQ in Germany

📅 September 22, 2008 - Application delivery optimization company KEMP Technologies (kemptechnologies.com) announced on Monday it has opened its new European headquarters in Hanover, Germany, as part of the company's global expansion strategy in the application delivery market for small-to-medium businesses.

To meet the growing customer demand, the office will handle sales, marketing, and technical support for the region.

"Our new European office answers the growing need for user support in the region as well as improved overall efficiency," said Kevin Mahon, CEO of KEMP Technologies. "Expansion outside of the US is a natural extension of the continued growth we are seeing in the market, particularly for SMBs. We look forward to giving the European SMB market affordable application delivery solutions necessary for them to compete in the marketplace."

The company has already signed several partners and customers in this region already, positioning itself for further growth in the European SMB market.

Current customers and partners include MR SYSTEME, Brainforce, Getech, Deutsche Post AG, Toshiba Europe, Burda Digitale Systeme, DFB Medien and Hapimag AG.

This announcement follows KEMP's recent announcement of all appliances to include data optimization and additional security features, including intrusion prevention system, compression and caching.

These new features enable data centers to reduce traffic to servers and network bandwidth consumption, while ensuring security of web applications.

The KEMP product family currently includes the LoadMaster 1500, LoadMaster 2500, LoadMaster 3500 and LoadMaster 5500.

Whir TV recently interviewed Peter Melrud, VP of product management at KEMP Technologies at HostingCon 2008 to discuss the company's latest LoadMaster solution, its technical training program for channel partners and virtualization-friendly offering.

Last month, KEMP Technologies announced that managed hosting provider BlackMesh joined its VARMaster Partner Program.

KEMP Technologies provides server load balancer appliances and application delivery controllers that are designed to meet the needs of SMB that rely on the Internet for e-commerce and business-critical applications.
