Jun 2, 2008 : Liquid Comp Partners with NetApp
📅 - Data center software provider Liquid Computing (liquidcomputing.com), and data management solutions provider NetApp (netapp.com) announced on Monday they have partnered to provide customers with data center solutions by combining networking, computing and storage capabilities.
The companies are offering an integrated solution that provides customers with a data center in a box. This non-disruptive management system enables customers to provide services without the hassles of daily management or integrating individual nodes, disks, appliances, servers, or networks.
"Liquid Computing and NetApp are working together to provide our customers and partners with a fully integrated data center IT infrastructure that is dynamic and easy to manage," says Greg McElheran, president and CEO of Liquid Computing. "Our integrated solutions will make everything -- servers, network switches, storage networking -- virtual, and provide customers a consistent and unified management view across all of their data center resources. This delivers complete flexibility to dynamically provision and allocate resources in minutes to any specific application or business requirement."
NetApp offers storage and data management solutions that help business boost revenues and deliver outstanding cost efficiency.
The NetApp Partner Program (netapp.com/partners/become/join.html) gives infrastructure and application providers access to NetApp solutions, software development kits, technical support, training, certification, product information and marketing and sales assistance. Customers can also access best-of-breed partner solutions that are tested to work with NetApp storage. In April, NetApp developed the NetApp Kilo Client, a massive testing environment where utility computing approaches can be tested in real-world environments.
Liquid Computing develops LiquidIQ, which the company says is the "first fully virtualized communications and computing system." The fully converged communications and computing platform provides customers with computing, networking and switching resources to more effectively manage data center IT infrastructure.
