Mar 13, 2007 : WebUnited Adds Delray Beach Facility

📅 - Internet solutions provider WebUnited (webunited.com) announced on Tuesday it has added a new 3,000 square foot business-class data center in Delray Beach, Florida. The facility will be ready for customer occupancy well before the arrival of the 2007 hurricane season, and expands WebUnited's data center reach to the highly populated South Florida counties of Dade, Broward and Palm Beach.

The new Delray Beach data center is designed for today's demanding business class customers and its infrastructure includes specialized computer room cooling equipment, emergency backup power generator, dual security access controls, video surveillance and multiple fiber and tier one bandwidth providers. The facility will be monitored around the clock by WebUnited's local NOC and engineering staff.

"The combination of this new data center and our existing network infrastructure really sets us apart from any other provider in the region," says WebUnited GM Bucky Wallace. "We can extend our business continuity solutions to our data centers in other markets including Chicago, Boston, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Baltimore and Richmond to allow complete business continuity and disaster recovery solutions."

WebUnited anticipates making significant additional facilities and services expansion in the coming months. It has added a Dade County option with the opening of services within a 23,000 square foot data center in the Miami Gardens area last October, and has long operated a 7,000 square foot facility in Deerfield Beach. All three data centers are interconnected with high speed fiber transport, creating a unique advantage for area businesses and enabling remotely hosted solutions for customers including colocation and managed services.
