📅 - Data center networking solutions provider Brocade (brocade.com) announced on Thursday that it will be discussing advanced data center solutions during two IDC Forums (idc.com) in San Francisco, California.
On April 7, Brocade's data center infrastructure division director of product marketing, Mario Blandini, will lead a presentation titled "Data Center Fabric: An Architecture for Consolidation, Optimization, Compliance and Continuity," at 1:30 p.m. PDT at IDC's Enterprise Data Center Forum West at the Hilton San Francisco.
Then on April 8 Harry Petty, Brocade servers division director of product marketing, will present "Data Center Fabric Requirements in the Virtualized World," at IDC Virtualization Forum West also at 1:30 p.m. PDT at the Hilton San Francisco.
In the press release, the IDC Enterprise Data Center Forum is described as offering "actionable advice for raising awareness and preparing for the ongoing changes in technology components - including blades, virtualization and multi-core design - and business processes, as well as the change management requirements for staffing and operating the data center of the future."
The agenda will explore both architectural and infrastructure considerations, including real estate, power and cooling, energy efficiency, physical and digital security, "green" technologies, regulatory requirements and outsourcing. The conference will also have discussions on backup and disaster recovery and take an in-depth look at next-generation technology offerings.
