Apr 3, 2008 : Consonus Opens Fourth Utah Facility

📅 - Data center and managed service provider Consonus Technologies (http://www.consonus.com) announced on Thursday it has opened its fourth data center facility in West Valley City, Utah. The company says it plans to celebrate the new facility with a grand opening event on April 22.

The new facility offers multiple structural, environmental and technological systems designed to guard the computing equipment and data it will hold. All Consonus facilities offer high-security amenities and redundant power, cooling and telecommunications systems specifically designed to prevent service interruption in the event of a disaster.

Consonus Technologies is the result of a January 2007 merger, which combined Consonus' data center and IT managed services with Strategic Technologies' data center-focused managed services and infrastructure solutions, to become Consonus Technologies subsidiary companies.

The company provides designing and delivering disaster recovery and business continuity solutions from its world-class data centers. It also partners with several other US data center providers to offer hosting and managed services solutions from many different US locations, including Denver, Indianapolis, Boston, Cary, Charlotte, Raleigh and Cincinnati. "Operating our own data centers is a major factor in what sets us apart from other providers," says Mike Shook, CEO of Consonus Technologies. "We are uniquely able to provide a complete lifecycle approach to the data center, beginning with needs and design consulting, continuing with solution implementation, and completed by full 24x7 support for the solutions we provide." The company has also launched a new website detailing Consonus' growth and enhanced service offerings.
