📅 March 17, 2008 - With the boldness of its Nordic namesake, IT service provider DataViking (dataviking.com -> hostinger.com) issued a press release Monday that announced the company's official launch and, in the same sentence, referred to it as "the premier technology management services company for business."

The companym created by folding the customers of Fivestarhost into Landis Holdings, the parent company of hosting provider JaguarPC (jaguarpc.com ) - itself a boldly-named but relatively small hosting provider - says it will combine in-house management of hardware and software with a high-availability hosting platform.

While the announcement may be a promise of big things from a smaller company, it certainly shows the dedication to managed services that has permeated the business at every level.

According to the announcement, DataViking's services will include management of office computers, customized business applications, web development and high availability hosting, as well as other managed services.

"The goal of DataViking is no less than being the true one-stop shop for businesses' technical needs," says Angel Anderson, vice president of sales for DataViking and formerly president of Fivestarhost. "Instead of dealing with a hosting provider, a hardware management firm or a web design firm separately, DataViking consolidates all these key offerings that businesses demand under one umbrella. Add in dedicated technical support, and the result is peace of mind so businesses can worry less about technology and focus more on their business."

Greg Landis, president of JaguarPC (and notably similar in name to its parent company), says JaguarPC will be a key partner in creating the new company's services.

DataViking says it "anticipates officially launching to the public in June 2008." It was not immediately clear how that event will be different from today's release, which "officially announced the launch of their new company."
