📅 March 12, 2008 - Managed hosting and colocation provider Hosting.com (hosting.com ) announced on Wednesday that Christopher R. McCleary has joined the company's board of directors.

In his role as a board member, McCleary will work closely with the company's board and management team focusing on corporate strategy. The Louisville, Kentucky-based company say it provides dedicated hosting, managed hosting, colocation, disaster recovery and business continuance services to customers around the world.

McCleary brings to Hosting.com a bevy of leadership experience, having served as executive chairman of Radware, founder of USinternetworking, founder, chairman and CEO of Evergreen Assurance and chairman and CEO of DIGEX.

In the past, McClearly has won the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for software services and the Washington Post/Newsweek Corporate Citizen of the Year Award. He also serves on the boards of the State of Maryland Venture Fund and the City of Baltimore Emerging Technology Center.

"Chris has been a leader and a visionary in the managed hosting sector since its inception, and we look forward to having such a major pioneer of our industry work closely with us on business strategy," says Darren G. King, president and CEO at Hosting.com.

Hosting.com announced last month that its San Francisco, California data center is now climate neutral.
