Sep 11, 2007 : SWsoft Purchases Ensim Pro Software

📅 September 11, 2007 - Server automation and virtualization provider SWsoft (swsoft.com) announced on Tuesday it has purchased the Ensim Pro software automation business from Ensim (ensim.com) for an undisclosed amount. The two companies will remain independent entities.

The Ensim Pro control panel product is used worldwide by consumers, businesses and service providers. The control panel is available as a Linux version as well as a Windows version, and is used to automate the process of setting up and managing Web servers, email accounts and software applications. Ensim Pro will be added to the company's lineup of automation solutions, which also includes SWsoft Plesk, Confixx, HSPcomplete and PEM.

"With our increased investment in automation, Ensim Pro customers can expect the full resources and support of SWsoft," says Serguei Beloussov, CEO of SWsoft. "By integrating Ensim Pro with other SWsoft automation and virtualization products through our OPEN FUSION platform, we will extend the benefits of standards to Ensim Pro customers."

The acquisition will help SWsoft in broadening its portfolio of automation software and extending its OPEN FUSION and application packaging standard initiatives to benefit a greater number of ISVs, service providers and end customers, says the company.

SWsoft announced last week it partnered with Internet security auditor ScanAlert to deliver Hacker Safe certification and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard validation services to Web hosting clients and their e-commerce merchants.
