Aug, 2001 : XML And Web Services Conference Adds Expert Panel
📅 - Tech Conferences, Inc. (vbconnections.com), a producer ofinformation technology conferences, announced yesterday the addition of anexpert panel to the XML and Web Services Connections conference. Theconference will run at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale,Arizona from September 30 to October 3.
The expert panel will discuss Web services and the architecture ofnext-generation Internet applications, including exchanges, portals, and aglobal e-business infrastructure. Organizations collaborating over theInternet, particularly for electronic business, are expected to be majorproducers of Web services consumed by partners and customers.
Several global technology initiatives have adopted XML and the exchange ofXML documents as the new model for e-business. IBM, Microsoft, Ariba and270+ organizations are participating in the Universal Description, Discoveryand Integration (UDDI) initiative that hosts an electronic business registry(uddi.org). The United Nations partnered with OASIS, an organization of over150 technology companies, to create specifications for electronic businesswith XML.
The panel members represent a cross-section of leading software companiesparticipating in the development of ebXML, UDDI and Web services. Theirdiverse background includes distributed computing, XML, messagingtechnologies, Java 2 Enterprise Edition, .NET, and e-business.
