(ntt.com) and a leading provider of global IP services, announced that itsVirtual Private Server, based on the Sun's SolarisOperating Environment, will accept interactive Websites and other Web-based business applications drivenby Sun Chili!Soft ASP.

Sun Chili!Soft ASP allows Web developers to build anddeploy dynamic Internet applications, using activeserver pages, across many different computingplatforms. Verio is one of the world's largestWeb-hosting companies and the only company to offerthe Solaris OE-based VPS.
Previously, ASP technology was deployed exclusively onWindows-based systems. With Sun, Verio's customers candevelop active server page applications for theSolaris O E, providing them the scalability andreliability of the Solaris platform and theflexibility of ASP.
ASP makes it much quicker and easier to createinteractive Web sites, and allows users to easilymaintain and update their Web pages. It has become apowerful model for connecting databases to the Web andit combines scripting, HTML, custom-server componentsand database publishing.
