Apr 20, 2007 : NGDC Announces Advisory Board
📅 - Tradeshow producer IDG World Expo (idg.com) announced on Wednesday it has appointed 11 executives to the Next Generation Data Center Conference and Expo (ngdcexpo.com) advisory board. NGDC is scheduled to run from August 6 to 9 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California.
IDG says the event focuses on new technologies and their impact on the data center, covering mission-critical applications and the technology supporting those applications including storage, servers, networking and communications.
Members of the advisory board include executives from Nemertes Research, SAS Institute, Capgemini, The 451 Group, Oracle and IDC. Companes like Tabor Marketing Services, Network World, Open Grid Forum, IBM and Computerworld are being represented on the board as well.
"Infrastructure is a key topic again as it becomes increasingly clear that the technologies, from SOA to Web 2.0, as well as new capabilities, such as virtualization for existing technologies, are both driving necessary change as well as highly desirable new functionality," says Andy Mulholland, global chief technology officer for Capgemini. "We talk about the data center of the future as a term but we need to know more, and this event comes at the right time to help."
