📅 - Integrated communications company Broadwing Inc. (broadwing.com) announced an agreement to provide IP VPN Services to Fortune Brands, the consumer products company behind brands including Moen, Titleist, Jim Beam, Master Lock, and Swingline.
Broadwing will provide Fortune Brands with a managed suite of secure services and products including private Internet connectivity, email access, nationwide reachability, and remote access for traveling employees and subsidiaries. Broadwing's services will also allow Fortune Brands to securely transmit proprietary information between locations via Broadwing's hierarchical IP backbone. "We were looking for a managed WAN solution, and Broadwing was the only company that was able to think outside the box by providing us with cost-effective services that most appropriately fit our needs," said Bill Baxter, Manager of Corporate Information Services, Fortune Brands. "Their ability to simplify network management and operating efficiencies surpassed any solution offered by other companies and introduced a heightened level of service."
