Toshiba America Taps Qwest Cyber Solutions for Application Services

📅 January 14, 2002 - Qwest Cyber Solutions LLC (qwestcybersolutions.com), an application service provider, today announced a multi-million dollar,multi-year contract with Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. (toshiba.com), a global distributor of network printing products.

QCS will host and manage the Oracle 11i e-business suite for more than 2,000Toshiba America users located across the U.S. The solution will improvecommunications, sales and procurement, among Toshiba America BusinessSolutions corporate headquarters and its subsidiaries, customers andsuppliers.
"We are investing in a new and innovative IT system that combines the powerof the Internet with a fully integrated ERP application environment. Thisnew system will seamlessly connect our customers, suppliers and staff,providing them the ability to share timely business critical information,"said Dan Langham, senior vice-president and CIO, Toshiba America BusinessSolutions. "The Qwest global network, coupled with QCS' experience in boththe manufacturing and distribution sectors, contributes to our confidence inour service provider's ability to adeptly deliver the right solution for ourbusiness."
Toshiba America Business Solutions has chosen QCS' most robust offering thatincludes application hosting and management service called Ultimate Freedom.Toshiba America Business Solutions system runs on QCS' infrastructure, QCSSentry, and will be hosted in the Sunnyvale, CA and Highlands Ranch, CO,Qwest CyberCenters. The system is backed by QCS' Enhanced ResponseProofPositive service level agreement.
