ViewCast Outsources E-Commerce Operations to Digital River

📅 January 14, 2002 - Digital River, Inc. (digitalriver.com), an e-commerceoutsource provider, today announced that it built and launched an e-com sitefor ViewCast Corporation (viewcast.com), a video communications provider. In addition to hosting and managing its Web site, Digital River is providing transaction management, digital product fulfillment, fraud prevention, e-marketing and customer service for ViewCast.

"We are very pleased to be working with ViewCast," said Jay Kerutis, DigitalRiver's president of software and digital commerce services. "We can offerViewCast e-commerce expertise and a world-class infrastructure to meet itse-business goals. ViewCast is also leveraging our e-marketing services tolearn more about its existing customer base and implement targetede-marketing campaigns."
The ViewCast e-commerce site offers consumers shopping and downloading ofproducts, including turnkey streaming solutions, and video distribution andvideo conferencing systems. The products enable users to get videos up andrunning whether they are Internet streaming videos or video distribution andconferencing systems for corporations, live Webcasting, or video productionsystems.
"We outsourced our e-commerce operations to Digital River because thecompany was able to help us meet the goals for our site," said George Platt,CEO of ViewCast.
