broadwing.com logo📅 - Integrated communications provider Broadwing Inc. (broadwing.com), announced yesterday a Service Level Agreement suite that guarantees latency, packet loss and availability both on and off theBroadwing network for all of its IP products.

"Broadwing has stepped up to the plate and taken responsibility for itscustomers' traffic regardless of where it travels," said Jason Knowles,research analyst for Current Analysis. "Other providers guarantee their topfew traffic exchange partners, but Broadwing has raised the bar by ensuringhigh levels of performance for the networks that their customers use most."
Broadwing is guaranteeing less than one percent packet loss, 90 millisecondsround trip latency between the Broadwing network and its top three trafficexchange partners and 100 percent availability with one-hop core routing foroff-net traffic.
Broadwing has selected Keynote Systems, a leader in Internet performanceservices, to measure and monitor availability and latency between Broadwingand its traffic exchange partners, which will enable customers to trackperformance via Broadwing's Web site and Broadwing's dedicated IP Web tools.
"Whether traffic is destined for an Internet destination on or offBroadwing's network, Broadwing's new SLA Suite will provide our customerswith the utmost in performance," said Mike Jones, chief technology officer,Broadwing.
Broadwing's optical and IP networks are the backbone for a range of IPproducts and services including IP-VPN and Dedicated Internet.
