Today's announcement follows yesterday's news that BT Wholesale will lowerthe wholesale cost of DSL to under £15 a month. The UK ISP also announcedplans to introduce a self-install version of its DSL product, which it hasbeen touting for several months. Named "Plug & Go," the new self-installproduct will be available starting March 5. As part of a special offer, the company says it will waive the £65activation charge for orders received before May 31. BTopenworld's £29.99 price point is the same as the one announced by ISPFreeserve yesterday.

The M&A side of things were fairly quiet but also very steady this week. Perhaps the noisiest announcement of the week was that ISP and hosting firm XO Communications said Thursday it had completed the sale of its European ISP business.
