Apr, 2002 : Freeparking.co.nz Offers Bundled Hosting Package

📅 April 19, 2002 - Freeparking.co.nz, a New Zealand-based domain name registrar, today unveiled its bundled service DomainPlus package. Developed to provide a single source solution for web hosting and domain name registration, DomainPlus allows customers registering a domain name at FreeParking.co.nz to click through and add hosting for their domain any time within 30 days.

"Effectively people had to go through the same process twice, so we have streamlined this and reduced the cost to offer New Zealand's best domain name and hosting price," said Richard Shearer, General manager of Freeparking.co.nz (freeparking.co.nz ).
The New Zealand Ministry of Economic Development estimates 54 percent of New Zealand businesses with 10 or more employees have a website, Shearer said, and demand for website registration and hosting continues to grow.

📅 Feb 27, 2004 - Iconz Acquires Registrar FreeParking - Internet business solutions provider Iconz (iconz.co.nz) acquired domain registrar FreeParking (freeparking.co.nz ), a division of New Zealand-based Web hosting provider Webfarm Limited (webfarm.co.nz), the company announced earlier this week. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Iconz said the acquisition, part of the company's ongoing expansion strategy, will increase its foothold in the New Zealand market and complement its existing Intellihost Web hosting management system.
