📅 June 1, 2007 - Web hosting provider Web.com (web.com ) announced on Wednesday that the US Patent and Trademark Office awarded the company with its latest patent.

Web.com says this marks the twenty-first patent it is being awarded with.

US Patent number 7,225,272 is entitled "Method and Apparatus for Providing Name Services" and was filed in July 2002, says the company.

Web.com recently signed an agreement with Register.com to offer Web site design tools, Web hosting and domain services to their respective customer bases.
