May, 2002 : Turillion Delivers Security Solution to Southeast Asia
📅 - Internet security solution developer Turillion Software Technologies, Inc. (turillion.com) announced on Thursday that it has signed a reseller agreement with Malaysia-based technology solution provider Ingenisys Sdn. Bhd. (ingenisys.net), expanding Turillion's presence into the Southeast Asia market.
The new presence, says Turillion, adds to the company's existing sales operations and channel distribution in the US and Europe.
Turillion says its eServer SecureT is the world's first policy-based Web application firewall, combining the proven Internet security technologies of attack signatures with a customizable security policy. eServer SecureT enforces an enterprise security policy, inspecting each Web request and blocking unauthorized and malicious activity to protect both the Web server and critical back-end applications.
"Many of our customer solutions are utilizing web-based applications so it's imperative that we take strides to protect their vital business assets," says David Moyes, chief technology officer for Ingenisys. "We needed a solution that not only offered visibility and protection from potential attacks, but it couldn't introduce the latency and poor performance issues we've seen in other Web application security solutions. After a thorough competitive analysis, eServer SecureT was the natural solution."
Turillion says its growing global partnerships are the result of a growing awareness of the need for Web application firewalls.
"Nearly 80% of attacks to ebusiness infrastructure are done through ports 80 and 443, circumventing existing security measures," says Craig Heilmann, president of Turillion. "Our technology prevents those attacks, while providing the necessary return on security investment. Turillion will continue to build upon our successes, providing the global ebusiness security solutions that our customers and the channel are demanding."
