The company says its Web panel allows site and network managers to organize sites and manage data systems to suit their needs, even with little technology background, through a set of completely automated management features that are easily managed online by the network administrator or end user. "Our goal is to provide unprecedented site personalization capabilities and outstanding customer service," says Jeff Campbell, communications director, DreamHost. "Every feature has been the result of listening to our customers and responding to their needs." DreamHost says customers can use a simple point-and-click process to handle tasks such as creating new users, adding new domains and setting up additional email boxes. More complex tasks such as controlling auto-responders and setting up announcement and discussion lists are also easily accomplished. The company says its newest management features allow lists to be manipulated and updated in less than 10 minutes. Small businesses can set up secure sites, complete with e-commerce capabilities, encryption technologies and integration with an existing firewall. And site owners can easily set up and manage guestbook features. DreamHost says its stability and support has resulted in an impressive customer turnover rate of less than 2 percent, exceeding average industry retention rates.
