Nov, 2002 : CGI Wins Frank Russell Outsourcing Contract

📅 November 7, 2002 - IT services firm CGI Group Inc. (cgi.com) announced on Thursday that global investment services firm Frank Russell Company has signed an eight-year contract for technology services valued at $40 million US.

As part of the contract, CGI will manage networks, provide help desk services, desktop support services and manage the company's Tacoma, Washington-basaed data center using CGI's Regina, Saskatchewan near-shore model. Through the deal, CGI will service approximately 1,300 Russell professionals worldwide.
CGI's approximately 200 professionals in Regina deliver a range of information technology services, including data center and help desk services, to clients in manufacturing, financial services and government sectors.
"We are extremely pleased to welcome Russell, a world leading investment management services company, as a CGI client," says Michael Roach, president and chief operating officer for CGI. "This win further underlines our strength and global capability in the financial services sector. In addition, it is another example of our near-shore delivery model and as a result Russell will benefit from the efficiencies and cost effectiveness of our Canadian base of operations."
