Nov, 2002 : VeriSign Managed Service Support Carriers

verisign.com logo📅 - Digital trust services provider VeriSign (VeriSign.com) announced on Tuesday that it has signed two new carrier contracts for expanded telecommunications services, showing momentum in its service bureau strategy.

Current customers MetroPCS, a Dallas-based wireless provider, and Douglas Telecommunications, headquartered in San Rafael, CA, are purchasing additional bundled services, including VeriSign's SS7 and ISUP trunk signaling and complete billing and customer care solutions.
"VeriSign is uniquely positioned to be the trusted provider of the most comprehensive suite of fundamental telecom services and integrated wireless solutions available today," said Terry Kremian, Executive VP of VeriSign Telecommunication Services. "These latest customer wins validate that our strategy to bundle managed services in a 'one stop shop' approach, is exactly what carriers need to keep their capital costs down while delivering new, revenue-generating services to their customers."
The VeriSign Telecommunication Services, unveiled a year ago, represents the broadest portfolio of managed services available from a single source, says the company. VeriSign's acquisitions of Illuminet Holdings Inc. and H.O. Systems complemented VeriSign's established competencies in security, payments and Web presence for the Internet.
