The company began accepting advance applications on Friday, and started accepting real-time registration requests starting at 11 am on Sunday.
BulkRegister says China's decision to allow third-level registrations of the .CN domain, including com.cn, net.cn and org.cn, offers businesses a critical opportunity for businesses seeking access to the market in China. With the largest population in the world, and 56 million Internet users, China is widely considered the next frontier for global e-Business.
"China's market represents a huge opportunity for many enterprise clients and business resellers," says BulkRegister CEO Thomas Cunningham. "This new country code domain will provide a globally expanded Internet presence and new opportunities. We continually strive to give our customers the earliest possible advantage to register their brand names ahead of the rush."
The .CN domain is managed through a partnership between NeuStar and the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC). Registrations are available lasting from one to five years.
