Jan, 2003 : Digex Executive Named to IT Leaders List

📅 January 7, 2003 - Managed Web and application hosting service provider Digex Inc. (digex.com) announced on Monday that its vice president of enterprise IT services, Scott Carcillo, has been recognized by IDG's Computerworld newspaper as one of its Premier 100 IT Leaders.

According to Digex, the award, now entering its fourth year, honors individuals who have creatively applied technology to execute their organization's business strategy. Carcillo will be among those honored at the Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference held February 23 to 25 in Arizona.
Carcillo was selected from among hundreds of nominees through a process based on Computerworld's Leadership Index set of characteristics describing people who guide the effective use of IT in their organizations. Other winners included executives from corporations such as Bayer Pharmaceutical, Circuit City Stores Inc., Dow Chemical Company and MasterCard International.
"Talented, focused and committed employees are critical to the success of service companies," said George Kerns, president and CEO of Digex. "We're delighted to have one of our own recognized for such an award. Scott's background and experiences provide valuable insight into how we expand the value proposition associated with our service offerings for the growing Enterprise IT marketplace."
