The solution, says CFXHosting, combines capabilities including streaming media, rich media messaging and real time collaboration, allowing developers to integrate streaming video and audio with motion graphics in a customizeable player environment.
CFXHosting developers worked with Macromedia technicians to integrate the product in the CFXHosting server environment, says the company. After weeks of preparation, says CFXHosting, the company's developers and engineers are confident in the company's ability to deliver the new technology.
"Our hosting platform was created so that new technologies may be integrated seamlessly," said Stephenie Hamilton, senior developer for CFXHosting. "Macromedia Flash Communication Server has been designed to allow developers to rapidly develop rich Internet applications. By offering Macromedia Flash Communication Server as an add-on to our Macromedia ColdFusion hosting plans, we can offer our clients a complete multimedia and dynamic website solution."
While the software has already been deployed by corporations including Yahoo!, which uses the software to deliver streaming on-demand video clips, CFXHosting says it is one of the first hosting companies to offer hosting support for the platform.
