Jan 22, 2003 : Superb Unveils New Data Center Facility

📅 January 22, 2003 - Managed Web hosting solution provider Superb Internet Corporation (Superb.net ) announced on Tuesday that it has opened a new carrier class DCA2 network operations center and data facility in Tyson's Corner, McLean, Virginia.

The new Data Center, says Superb, is more than 12,500 square feet and is staffed 24-hours a day by experienced systems and network administrators. The facility features top of the line security, redundant power systems, backup power and fire suppression, providing hosting in open racks, locked cabinets, cages and a military-grade shielded metal room.
Along with the new DCA2 data center, Superb Interent launched SuperbServers.Net (SuperbServers.net -> superb.net), a service offering 500GB per month of colocation service for $79 a month and its new Superb Lite Server, delivering 500GB per month of traffic for a $99 monthly fee.

Superb says the DCA2 NOC will be able to house close to 10,000 servers, and is expected to surpass 100 servers within the first week, due to the large demand for affordable, quality service from a dependable provider.
