📅 June 26, 2007 - Web hosting provider Hostopia (hostopia.com ) announced that it will be conducting a job fair, open to applicants interested in joining its planned Customer Interaction Centre, scheduled to open September 2007. The company has confirmed its plans to open a customer interaction facility in a joint announcement made earlier today with the Miramichi, New Brunswick.

"Hostopia's global Web services business demands high-calibre employees to staff our support operations," says Colin Campbell, Hostopia's CEO and COO. "Hostopia is pleased to provide professional training to qualified applicants who will quickly become productive members of our service and support teams, currently located in Toronto and Nikolayev, Ukraine."

In preparing for the opening of the new 20,000 square foot contact center facility, Hostopia has announced immediate plans to interview, hire and train employees to be ready to work in time for the planned September operation opening. An open Job Fair will be conducted July 4 to 6 at the Rodd Miramichi River, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. each day. Applicants are invited to come with their resumes on an open invitation basis with no appointment necessary.

The first come, first serve interviews will span a variety of positions, including assistant manager quality assurance/customer service, assistant manager of operations, customer care administrator, technical support specialists (Level I and Level II), technical support traffic analyst and Web design consultants. Hostopia plans to offer positions within two weeks of the interviews conducted at the Job Fair.

Hostopia recently announced it released a new suite of value-added email services for small and medium-sized businesses.

Just less than a year ago, Hostopia itself was acquired by Deluxe Corporation for about $124 million Canadian.

According to the press release, the sale allows CI Host and Cassiopeia Internet to "focus on their managed, dedicated and colocation hosting for their mid and large market enterprise customers while ensuring improved services for the accounts to be acquired by X7 Hosting."

📅 Jun 19, 2008 - Web Host Hostopia Acquired for $124M - Shortly after announcing a fairly significant acquisition of its own, private-label web hosting provider Hostopia (hostopia.com ) reported this week that it had entered an agreement to be acquired by Deluxe Corporation (deluxe.com -> hostpapa.com).
