📅 - According to reports released this week, outsourcing giant EDS and Japanese carrier NTT Communications have formed an alliance with the objective of delivering information technology and communications services, a deal EDS hopes will strengthen its presence in Japan.
EDS and NTT Communications have reportedly said they will work together on several projects, including data center, colocation hosting and communications services. The company will also provide one another with services. EDS's consulting wing A.T. Kearney will advise NTT Communications' IT Management Services unit. EDS reportedly says it has been serving multinational corporations in Japan for 17 years, with more than 3,000 employees in the Asia-Pacific region, excluding Australia and New Zealand. NTT says the EDS deal is part of the company's plan to become a global IP solution company.
