📅 - Digital River (digitalriver.com) announced today that it is has been selected by Major League Baseball Advanced Media to host the Topps 2003 Online All-star Ballot for the third consecutive year. MLB Advanced Media is the interactive media and Internet division of Major League Baseball.
The Major League Baseball All-star ballot is the largest in professional sports. It will be hosted by Digital River and powered by technology provided by Nexl.
"Based on the tremendous popularity of last year's global All-Star Balloting program, we are anticipating an increased number of ballots this season," said Noah Garden, MLBAM's senior vice president of e-commerce. "We plan to continue to leverage Digital River's international online experience and scalable e-commerce platform to accommodate more baseball fans as they vote for this year's All-Star teams.?
International baseball fans will be able to cast votes in three languages ? English, Spanish and Japanese.
"With the total number of ballots generated between 2001 and 2002 surpassing the five million mark, we are thrilled once again to be hosting and managing the Online All-Star Ballot," said Joel Ronning, CEO of Digital River.
