Sep, 2003 : Digital River to Provide E-com Hosting for Caldrea
📅 - Digital River, Inc. (digitalriver.com) said today it has signed an agreement with The Caldrea Company, a retailer of household cleaning products. Under the terms of the agreement, Digital River built and launched Caldrea's e-commerce Web site to support its online sales and marketing efforts.
"Working through traditional retail channels, we've established a premier brand with a distinct look and feel, and superior customer experience," said Monica Nassif, founder and CEO of Caldrea. "We were interested in leveraging this success in an online environment to provide our growing customer base with an alternative shopping option. By pairing our wholesale expertise with Digital River's expertise in growing online consumer businesses, we can provide more convenience for our customers, increase our brand recognition and drive incremental revenues for our company."
In addition to building the site, the Minnesota-based company said it is helping Caldrea run its e-commerce operations by providing Web hosting, order management, fraud prevention, e-marketing, customer service and product fulfillment.
"Our business is focused on helping companies build, manage and grow their online channels," said Joel Ronning, CEO of Digital River. "We work behind the scenes on behalf of our clients, handling all the intricacies related to running an e-commerce operation and ensuring a superior online customer experience. Companies, such as Caldrea, find significant value in our e-commerce model because it allows them to continue to focus on their core competency, while offering an efficient way to open new markets for their brand."
