📅 July 19, 2007 - Disaster recovery solutions provider SunGard (sungard.com) announced on Wednesday that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire managed hosting and colocation provider VeriCenter (vericenter.com). VeriCenter will become part of SunGard Availability Services, the pioneer and leading provider of information availability and business continuity services.

By acquiring VeriCenter, SunGard increases its economies of scale, as well as broadens the company's service offerings of dedicated and shared resources designed for specific customer information availability needs. The VeriCenter resources complement SunGard's business continuity and production hosting solutions that maximize the availability of networks, systems, data and applications.
