😁 My company has always had excellent service and customer support with XLHost, using up to 30 servers. Many of the previous reviews are ancient, but here and now in 2020, the service (and competitive pricing) is top notch.

😠 Don't say I didn't warn you
I've had a nightmare experience. I ordered a virtual private server with Paypal as the payment processor. The website states that the VPS will be ready in 12-24 hours. I received an email telling me to to my "orders" page to pay. There was no option to pay so I contacted support and they told me to manually send a payment to billing@xlhost.com with my order # included. I did that right away and was told "Great! The billing team will process your order in the morning".
The morning comes around and guess what? No VPS! I contact support a new rep tells me. "You need to send an email to billing@xlhost.com with your order number and paypal transaction number". I did this right away and the rep confirmed that it was received. The rep told me that my VPS would be ready by the end of the day.
End of the day comes around and guess what?? If you guessed STIL NO VPS, then ding ding ding you're right!!
Now I'm forced to file a paypal dispute because they're holding onto my money.

I ordered a dedicated server from XLHost and only two days later I had to request a cancellation for problems that occurred on MY END, NOT THEIRS. The dedicated server I ordered was $89 per month ($104 in total including Windows 2003 Web). The specifications were simply AMAZING for the price paid!

😠 Your customer support is non-existant. my site had problems three different times and it always took many many days to get a ticket response and the respones were always generic and usually stanted the same thing we can't help you our on resposibility is that the power is supplied. The women how answers the phone Who is always the same person and I won't use her name just because, is as personable and helpful as rabbed animal. We have which to a new server company and they have been so good that my programmer has 40+ sites and he's going to switch all his site to them. I don't expect anything in reply because I'm sure you'll say it's all the customers fault AGAIN. By the way I have 20 million businesses on my review site we are about to launch and you will never be recommend to any of them Good luck with your future. Good businesses have fair pricing, however great businesses take care of the customers that includes the unhappy ones! Enjoy the last $109.00 for 2 days of nothing!1

Please don't use xlhost.com for your hosting if you are planning to host any important server. Their support system is worst. I have other hosting providers I'm currently using and their service is very good. xlhost wants $35 for Os restore. After 5 pm you will not get any support. So if your service is down then you have to wait for next day (business hours). You have to make a payment first and then Billing will clear the payment and pass this to support team. I have very bad experience with them.

😠 I had a disk crash on one of their servers just before we re-ran our backup scripts so I wrote in to get ahold of the drive for a professional recovery.
The answer I got was so unbelievable it's worth pasting here in full:
"As far as shipping the old drive to you unfortunately by the time we got your request we had put your drive in the bad drive pile and are not sure which one was yours now"
I rang support trying to straighten this out and a chap named Saeed answered, recognised my case, and insisted there was nothing he could do.
He became increasingly rude when I tried to explain the gravity of the situation, and when I asked to speak to his boss responded, "I am the boss, this is my company" and hung up the receiver on me.
I hope you are lucky enough to Google this provider and read the uniformly negative reviews before signing up with XLhost.

😠 I agree with JohnมI'm having with myself . Now i order 4 days ago no email from Xlhost.com except billing from paypal charged over order form . I take a ticket to ask ..No answer from Support ticket. No response from Live Chat. I want money back .

😠 They give Xeon servers but their customer service like they are in the 80's Very Very Rude and dont have the willingness to support. Seems like they say, our price is low, take it or leave it.. we cannot service you.. They work till 5PM only on weekdays.. that means from friday 5PM to Monday 9AM, 64 hours your servers is at risk. they say they charge 100$ if the support staff need to go to office after office hours, but they never do even if we ready to pay. So dont make the same mistake that I made, go for some good colocation who has 24/7 support. thx. john

😠 The worst place ever.....their support is the worst I have ever dealt with, rude and useless.....they don't provide 24/7. Server went down wed at night and I finally got a reply on thu morning....middle morning....
Called in and support rep told me: I didn't broke it, so you fix it......
Told him I would pay for support......he said no, get a web KVM and fix it yourself...
STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

😠 The worst I have ever seen. Do not use them if you run anything that may require after hours support. They do not have 24/7 support. Our hard drive failed at 4:00 on a Saturday and I finally received a call back after 5 phone calls the next morning at 10:00. Apparently, these guys haven't learned that the internet is always open...
