😠 Seems to be a scam of some sort. I verified with credit card, but as soon as I created the account and logged in it said "This account has been disabled." and I could not do anything.

📜 About Open Hosting

Open Hosting Inc. (OHI), which closed in May 2022, was a cloud hosting provider that earned a solid reputation for its flexibility, cost efficiency, and robust technical infrastructure. Specializing in cloud hosting powered by Linux KVM (Kernel-Based Virtual Machine), OHI offered virtual servers that were fully customizable and operated independently, providing clients with greater control compared to traditional OS-level container solutions.

Key Features:
KVM Virtualization: Open Hosting's choice of KVM over other platforms like VMware or Xen allowed for near-native server performance. This made it an excellent choice for businesses and developers who needed a stable, flexible hosting environment. KVM provided full virtualization, which gave customers the ability to run their own custom Linux kernels and modules.

Utility Pricing: One of the standout features of OHI was its consumption-based pricing model. Customers only paid for the resources they used—CPU, disk, and bandwidth—making it a more cost-effective solution compared to other cloud providers. This approach was particularly attractive for developers and businesses looking to scale resources efficiently.

Infrastructure: OHI operated from two well-equipped data centers in Washington, DC, and Miami, FL. Both locations featured high-end security systems, redundant power supplies, and top-tier cooling solutions. These data centers were designed to ensure high availability, reliability, and uptime for clients.

Customer Support: Open Hosting placed a strong emphasis on customer service, offering responsive and knowledgeable support to help clients with their hosting needs. This customer-centric approach was one of the core strengths of the company.

Performance and Reliability:
OHI's infrastructure used multi-processor Dell PowerEdge servers, RAID storage for data redundancy, and automatic failover systems. These features ensured high reliability, with the company boasting excellent performance and uptime. The data centers were located in strategic areas for low-latency connections, making them ideal for businesses requiring fast, reliable web hosting.

Security:
Security was a top priority at Open Hosting, with both data centers equipped with multi-layered physical security, 24/7 surveillance, biometric access, and advanced fire suppression systems. This ensured that client data was protected against both physical and digital threats.

Conclusion:
Open Hosting was a reliable and cost-effective cloud hosting provider that focused on giving customers full control over their hosting environment. The choice of KVM for virtualization, flexible pricing model, and robust infrastructure made it a strong contender for businesses and developers seeking a scalable, high-performance hosting solution. While OHI is no longer in operation, it leaves behind a legacy of offering competitive, developer-friendly cloud hosting solutions.

😠 I couldn't even do a free trial for more than an hour to test their service before an admin deleted it all and disabled my account. I regret entering my credit card information for a verification since this company is horrid. No response from their email.
