😠 proper useless dont bother,,they state they are a uk site with uk servers IN TEXAS!! loads of downtime and ricky fenning is an ignorant host

😉 In general their hosting can be quite good, prices are good £13 a month for 15 gig.
Up time is not as advertised, mainly due to issues within the datacentre (95% uptime via siteuptime for January 2008) although this is only monitored via siteuptime every few days.
Support options are good, although Skype & landline (0800) are both voicemail services. Emails are not responded to for hours, if at all.
Suspension of accounts can be instant, no notification or action of the hosting company to block any vulnerable scripts. Website suspended & no response to any emails or MSN for over 12 hours and still counting.
Old saying, you get what you pay for.

😉 These guys no what they are doing and reply to support tickets in a good reasonable time and usually with some good answers. Only thing that bothers me is how rude they are to customers, they will provide you with the support you need however try to make you feel as little as possible and making you seem like you are dumb and don't know anything. There MSN support always seem to ignore you aswell, and it takes a hell of a lot of annoying them to get them to speak. When they are in the wrong they fail to make you aware of the situation, and seemed to have quite alot of downtime. They are happy to take your money, however do not always give you what you pay for. Galaxy Web Solutions is a privately owned limited company based in Bristol, UK.Established in 2004 we have built a strong customer base of over 1,000 satisfied customers made up of individuals, businesses, web developers and start up web hosting companies.
Unlike many other smaller hosting providers we own and manage our own servers in private rack space which allows us to deliver an excellent quality of service and high uptime figures.
Our servers are based in Cheltenham, UK in secure rack space and are managed by us both remotely and on-site when required.
If you want to build a working relationship with a company you can trust then look no further.
If you find yourself continuously moving hosting providers then move to us and you'll never need to move again.
We deliver quality customer service and technical support between 8AM and 10PM (and outside of these times where possible).
Outside of these hours our infrastructure continues to be monitored and any potential problems are immediately reported to our server engineers for rectification.

😁 I bought an account with Galaxy webhosting on impulse. Mainly because I could purchase without a contract and pay through google checkout. They're also UK based with a freephone number.
Concidering you typically get around 200GB for $7 ($13 w/o contract) with other hosts, the space you get for what you pay (1GB/£3.50, 5GB/£5) is a little underwhelming.
Other than that, the service is what I'd expect, and probably better than most hosts.
Support tickets are answered within anything from a few minutes to a few hours typically, and the answers are nearly always helpful.
However, unless they change their packages to offer a few more GB, I won't be staying.

😞 Galaxy Webhosting like to change their server every year, so there is a downtime every year, a long one, so the uptime is not even 99.95%, whereas they stated it's 99.95% before. The technical support never give reason why is downtime happen, except it's changing server. All support ticket were answered to comfort me to shut up.

😁 Absolutely fantastic host, Cant fault in any way shape or form. Im not sure what the review above is going on about but I cant say enough how good a host Galaxy-webhosting is. I have been a customer with them since march 02nd 2006 and I am still with them now a year on.
The support is flawless. Multiple methods including skype,AIM,MSN,ICQ,Livechat,Email and support ticket system. No downtime and they keep to there uptime promises.
If you need a host then choose Galaxy-webhosting. I have used there SHOUTcast services, Hosting services and reseller hosting services and will be looking into there dedicated server services also.

😁 What can i say, i have been with these guys from the start, they provide an excellent service at great prices, and the servers uptime is very very good! The customer service is unbeatable, by far the best that any hosting i know of provide, almost all tickets are replied to within 5 minutes - the longest wait to date was an hour which is still amazing, also the live support is brilliant, there is always a friendly and helpful person on live support, 10/10, top dog!

😠 Useless , 2 huge outages, where they admitted they oversold and maxxed out the servers. Waited weeks for the first time to be resolved and now er have the second MAXX OUT,. Customer service is ignorant and slow.
