😠 Used to be good, now terrible!
Dollarhost used to be a good low-cost hosting company but is now a complete disaster. They recently lost four months of stored email associated with my art website, and in the process of "fixing" this managed to glitch email for both websites of mine that they were hosting. It took them almost a week to fix this, and during that time were simply not answering their phone for a day or two. The level of technical competence and customer service displayed by their people was abysmal. Their only offer for recompense for this disaster was three months of extension on one of the two websites, (Not even the length of the email loss!) and a complete refusal to do anything better than that. To make it worse, they then jacked the cost of hosting and never provided any notice that they were doing so. Further complaints were met with "If you don't like it, take your business somewhere else." Which I will do, and I urge anyone else to avoid them like the plague.

😞 Dollarhost want's $25 to renew my name this year so I am leaving them. I know I can get it for $15.
What can I say? I need to find the best price. I hate being intimidated into staying with a company and though I know that there is a process to change registrars, when a company is banking on me staying at any price, then they are mistaken. Au Revoir Dollarhost.
