*📜 Plan description

This cabinet colocation service is aimed at AI or GPU deployments as well as general-purpose infrastructure that needs a secure dedicated footprint with room to scale. Most cabinets can support up to 10 kW depending on site design, and the service can also be scoped on a power-based basis for single-server GPU deployments so the footprint does not need to be oversized from day one. High-speed connectivity options can scale beyond the default 1 Gbps model and may reach 4 x 25 Gbps or 1 x 100 Gbps where the location supports it. The quote process is shaped around the actual server models, quantity, port count, speed requirements, and expected power draw, which makes this offering much more flexible than the fixed-price rack plans. It suits teams planning denser compute nodes, specialized appliances, or growth paths that need more custom design than a standard cabinet package can provide.

This colocation range is built around secure facilities with climate control, UPS-backed power handling, diesel generator backup, carrier-neutral connectivity, and onsite technical staff available day and night. Every listed rack option includes a dedicated network uplink, DDoS filtering, anti-DDoS monitoring, and KVMoIP access, while the wider colocation platform supports optional VRRP, BGP sessions, GRE tunnels, and Anycast for more complex routing needs. Physical security is layered through controlled building and cabinet access, onsite personnel, and continuous monitoring. The customer portal also exposes IP management, firewall controls, DDoS reporting, and diversion settings, making the service practical for hands-on operators. The network backbone is built for scale with multi-provider connectivity and multi-terabit capacity, and AI or GPU hardware can be accommodated where power and port design allow. Remote hands support is available 24x7, and the broader footprint spans multiple Psychz facilities even when a quoted package is tied to a specific US location.

📄 Editorial Review

Psychz Networks is not built like a typical mass-market shared hosting brand. The business sits under Profuse Solutions Inc., is based in Los Angeles, and its own timeline shows activity going back to 2001, with shared hosting appearing first, reseller hosting added in 2002, VPS in 2009, managed services in 2012, and a major step in 2014 when they moved into operating their own Los Angeles facility. Today the company is much more focused on infrastructure-heavy services than on beginner website hosting.

The product range is broad, but it is centered on serious deployment rather than low-end consumer hosting. The core lineup includes cMetal dedicated servers, cVirtual VPS / cloud instances, colocation, S3-compatible object storage, block storage, IP transit, wavelength services, backup, and DDoS mitigation. There is also a bare metal reseller program aimed at MSPs and VARs, with tiered discounts for resellers that grow their monthly recurring business.

The strongest part of the catalog is clearly dedicated infrastructure. The cMetal line covers single-CPU and dual-CPU servers across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia, with options for metered or unmetered bandwidth, multiple port speeds, IPMI remote control, API access, private networking, Anycast support, and built-in DDoS protection. It is a strong fit for gaming, streaming, hosting, SaaS, security-focused deployments, and latency-sensitive workloads. The dashboard is much more than a billing panel: it is used to track attacks, create firewall rules, manage mitigation, handle tickets, and interact with infrastructure in a more operational way.

The newer cVirtual platform gives them a more modern VPS / cloud-style layer. It is built around Intel Xeon processors, NVMe-backed storage, automated failover, floating IP capability, replication across multiple servers, and zero bandwidth charges on the platform itself. It is not presented as bargain-bin VPS hosting. It is aimed more at users who want a virtual layer with high availability, DDoS-aware design, and infrastructure that can grow alongside bare metal and storage services.

Storage is more developed than on many hosting company sites. sObject is an S3-compatible object storage platform with zero egress fees, scalability up to very large datasets, and support for AWS-compatible tooling. sBlock is attachable block storage for VMs, bare metal, and even external clouds, with Standard, Premium, and Performance tiers that move from bulk storage to balanced SSD to low-latency NVMe-style performance. On top of that, BareMetal Backup provides continuous data protection for Linux and Windows with restore points on a monthly, weekly, daily, hourly, or minute-level basis.

This is also one of those providers where network services are part of the real business, not just a side note. IP transit, wavelength, Anycast, BGP, VRRP, GRE tunnels, and protection products are integrated into the overall offering. That makes Psychz far more interesting for infrastructure operators, resellers, and enterprises than for somebody who only wants a simple cPanel shared account.

One thing that stands out is that the company is operations-oriented. The company emphasizes inventory visibility, API access, IPMI, traffic handling, mitigation tooling, route optimization, and carrier diversity. That creates a stronger impression of a network and infrastructure operator than of a typical retail web host.

😁 Psychz has it all!
The only bare-metal provider you will ever need. Their locations are enough to meet the scaling demand. High-quality hardware and network. Prices are fair compared to other providers. Setup is fast, and they can provision large orders quickly. Being a large client, we were offered direct communication with their team, allowing us to save a lot of time.

😠 Terrible network and support with Psychz colocation
I have been a colocation customer with Psychz at their Ashburn, VA location since October of 2020.

In February of 2021 I switched to a full cabinet and my experience has been horrible. I have experienced the following:

- random outages
- poorly mitigated DDoS attacks
- a technician once "bumped" my out of band link causing it to go down. It took them two hours to discover and solve this issue
- consistent ping spikes that took them over a month to acknowledge, and were never fully resolved

Their customer support is incompetent. It took over 100 emails back and forth before the ping problem was finally acknowledged, which they blamed on a variety of issues, but settled on it being a configuration issue. They claimed they "fixed" the issue but the ping problems still occurred. Prior to this, they would do nothing but ask for traceroutes. The traceroutes provided to them clearly showed an issue with Psychz, but they would either a) blame it on my hardware or b) continue to ask for more traceroutes.

After dealing with the poor network for over two months we finally moved to a different provider in Ashburn and have had zero issues.

I would not recommend Psychz for colocation due to their poor network and terrible support.
