📄 Editorial Review
Namebay is a Monaco-based ICANN-accredited registrar and online presence provider with a strong domain-management identity. The company has operated under the Namebay brand since 1999, while its registrar background reaches back to the CORE registrar initiative in 1997. Today, Namebay belongs to the Nameshield group and serves more than 100,000 clients and 2,000 resellers, with activity across France, Monaco, Switzerland, Belgium, China and Africa. The main product range is built around domain names, shared hosting, SSL certificates, email services, reseller tools and corporate domain portfolio management. For domain services, Namebay covers more than 1,500 extensions, including classic gTLDs such as .com, .net and .info, as well as country-code domains such as .fr, .mc, .it and .de. Additional registrar services include DNS management, URL forwarding, domain transfers, domain recovery assistance, monitoring, negotiations/acquisitions and brand-protection support.
Hosting is available as shared Linux and Windows hosting, grouped into 20 GB, 100 GB and 200 GB packages. The Linux platform uses CentOS with Apache, while the Windows platform uses Windows Server/IIS. Plans include a Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate, daily/weekly backups, FTP access, statistics, an administrative interface, email accounts, webmail, PHP support and MariaDB/MySQL databases. This is a practical shared-hosting offer rather than a modern VPS, cloud or dedicated-server portfolio.
Namebay also has a strong reseller and corporate focus. Resellers get a white-label model, a reseller portal, WHMCS plugin, API access, real-time domain registration, price customization and portfolio tools. Corporate customers get domain portfolio rationalization, brand-protection services, registry lock, transfer help, domain recovery and dedicated support channels. The current website supports French and English, although some FAQ and older customer-area sections still look more traditional than modern hosting brands.
