Feb 6, 2004 : VIA Net.Works USA Appoints New Director

📅 February 6, 2004 - Via Net.Works USA (vianetworks.net), the US subsidiary of Netherlands-based Web hosting provider Via Net.Works (vianetworks.com), announced today that it has appointed Patrick Gaul as managing director.

The company said Gaul was brought from the company's headquarters in the Netherlands to run its US operations, based in Atlanta. Gaul was vice president of sales operations for Via Net.Works.
"My focus will be to streamline operations, improve customer service and to grow sales for VIA USA's global service offering," says Gaul.
Upon his appointment, Gaul immediately moved the company's servers to a new data center facility.
"The new data center marks an exciting milestone for VIA USA," says Gaul. "Not only are we now ensuring our customers server integrity and protection, this service improvement allows us to decrease the space we need to operate, allowing us to accelerate to cash-flow positive."
Via Net.Works said that in 2004 it plans to migrate to the Sphera hosting platform, enhance monitoring levels, and create a positive working environment.
"Financial stability, price performance, ROI and attention to our customers are all key criteria in creating a successful Web hosting enterprise," says Gaul. "We provide e-commerce revenue assurance through the provision of reliable Web hosting. Prior to joining Via Net.Works, Gaul was a member of the US marine corps.
