May 7, 2004 : ThinkHost Releases Ecommerce Software

📅 May 7, 2004 - Web hosting provider ThinkHost (thinkhost.com ) announced the launch of iUser Ecommerce on Thursday, a new shopping cart software package developed by IntensivePoint (instensivepoint.com), a provider of ecommerce software solutions. iUser Ecommerce is specifically designed for online merchants selling software and downloadable e-books.

According to Michael Bloch, business operations manager for ThinkHost, iUser is one of the most economical solutions of its kind.
"There was a definite gap in the market. There's plenty of good shopping cart software packages around, but really not much in this price range for merchants on a tight budget who specialize in selling downloadable products," says Bloch. "iUser runs on the clients' server, so there's no monthly leasing fees either."
The software includes capabilities that allow the merchant to bundle products together. iUser Ecommerce also includes options to provide premium or free support to clients as well as support for the distribution of free software products.
IntensivePoint is offering installation services for clients and has established a revenue sharing program for partners.
