Nov 8, 2004 : UH Hosting Adds Email Virus Scanning

📅 November 8, 2004 - UK-based Web hosting provider UH Hosting (uh-hosting.co.uk ) announced on Monday that all its PHP Web hosting packages now include free email virus scanning.

"This means, along with free spam filtering, our customers using our email services have another layer of affordable protection," UH Hosting said in a release. "The email virus scanning software we use updates every few hours and automatically downloads any updates to the virus definition database, keeping our customers protected from the latest known email virus threats."
UH Hosting is based in Telehouse's Dockland facilities in London, England. The company said it has recently shifted focus to its shared and reseller PHP Web hosting lines.
