Dec 14, 2004 : Coyote Point Supports Tuborg Web Site
📅 - Managed solution provider Coyote Point Systems (coyotepoint.com) announced on Tuesday that Denmark brewery Tuborg is using Coyote Point's Equalizer E350 to manage the increase in Web site traffic during its annual Christmas beer promotion. Millions of Danes will now have near flawless access to games, promotional information, and directions to the location of the Christmas beer giveaway.
Coyote Point says Tuborg implemented the Equalizer E350 load-balancing and traffic management solution to manage increased Web traffic and improve their customers' online experience, and is experiencing the best Web performance it has had in seven years of the event. Tuborg's Web site is hit with its largest volume of traffic every November when Tuborg launches its annual Christmas beer campaign.
Tuborg's servers were initially overwhelmed by high traffic in its early years, making it difficult for visitors to access the site. When Tuborg decided it would launch two Christmas beers for the first time, the company and its technology partner NetPeople | PeopleGroup decided to add Coyote Point's Equalizer E350 to manage the anticipated traffic spike.
"This year our servers provided 35 Gigabytes of data in 24 hours -- well above the usual volume of traffic," says Soren Nielsen, system architect for Tuborg Brewery. "The Danish Coyote Point distributor Liga LinDist ApS recommended the Coyote Point solution and it has delivered exactly the features and functions we needed.
