TELEHOUSE says the agreement enables its Internet exchange customers to enjoy the benefits FLAG's global reach and service portfolio, which includes include bandwidth, IP transit, ethernet, IP-VPN and colocation. Its customers will also benefit from Flag's presence in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia, the company says. "The agreement enhances our extensive data center and Internet exchange infrastructure and expands the accessibility of markets for our customers, at a time when the amount of online business transactions shows steady annual growth," says Masahiro Furuya, president and CEO of TELEHOUSE America. Full connectivity to NYIIX and LAIIX, the company says, will enable FLAG to offer direct peering at these sites for their clients and further improve IP connectivity for their transit customers. "FLAG owns and manages a unique fiber optic and MPLS/IP network, with access nodes in major cities across four continents," says Chris Wood, vice president of marketing at FLAG. "Our agreement with TELEHOUSE provides additional direct connectivity into NYIIX and LAIIX, two of the world's largest IXs, and enables FLAG to deliver customer traffic direct between these key exchanges and any point on our network, including major PoPs in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. We look forward to working with TELEHOUSE and offering new IX locations to our global carrier customer base."
