📅 - Managed hosting and services provider SAVVIS (savvis.com) announced on Tuesday that it had added Indian entertainment broadcasting network Media Bazaar as a new customer.
Media Bazaar will deploy SAVVIS's content delivery network to support its two main Web broadcasting services - GO COW GO and My GO COW GO. GO COW GO is multimedia screening technology platform, while My GO COW GO is a Web service combing free Web theatre with Web broadcasting applications. "By offering first-run movies over the Internet concurrently with their theatrical release in India, GO COW GO will provide a global audience to the Bollywood film, music, and entertainment industry through a secure system that defeats piracy," says Carrie Flaska, president of Media Bazaar. "SAVVIS's CDN provides a global, secured, and highly scalable digital infrastructure that powers GO COW GO as a high performance, pay-per-view service." According to the agreement, SAVVIS will also host the GO COW GO site and the SAVVIS CDN will stream various television programs to users on an on-demand basis. "Media Bazaar has spent several decades licensing and distributing content from the most respected entertainment producers and studios in India," says Nathan Kerry, vice president and general manager for media and entertainment services at SAVVIS. "These relationships are now enabling extremely innovative Web services that are opening the door for the general public to participate in the multibillion dollar media and entertainment industry."
