📅 January 1, 2000 - Web hosting automation software developer SWsoft (swsoft.com) announced on Thursday that dedicated hosting provider Layered Technologies (layeredtech.com ) launched eight new virtual private server offerings based on SWsoft technology.
Layered's VPS offerings are bundled with the Plesk control panel and run on the Virtuozzo virtualization solution. The company now runs Virtuozzo for both the Linux and Windows platforms. "Virtuozzo has quickly become a pivotal solution for hosting providers in adding highly profitable new services," says Kurt Daniel, director of marketing for SWsoft. "With the addition of Virtuozzo for Windows used in combination with Plesk, hosting service providers can increase their revenue through a range of services including advanced shared, split dedicated, dynamic dedicated and split shared.
