📅 - Interliant Obtains Debtor-in-Possession Financing - The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York has approved Interliant's application for Debtor-in-Possession (DIP) financing with Access Capital, Inc., a New York City based lender. Access Capital is providing Interliant with a revolving credit facility with maximum availability of $5 million. The credit facility is secured by Interliant's accounts receivable, with additional security in the company's assets. "We are pleased that the court has given us its final approval of this financing," said Francis J. Alfano, Interliant's president and CEO. (ipapplications.com), a provider of outsourced Internet services, announced a non- brokered private placement financing with European private investors, consisting of 3,000,000 units at $0.35 per unit to raise a total of $1,050,000. "The company appreciates the continued confidence and support of our European investors in the company's future, particularly at this difficult time in the equities market," says Curt Cranfield President and CEO of IP Applications Corp. "As we continue to grow the business and meet set milestones, our European investors have indicated their strong interest in participating in our financing again."
📅 - Exodus Shareholders Sue Merrill Lynch, Blodget - Exodus Communications Inc. shareholders have launched a class-action lawsuit against Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. and its former Internet analyst, Henry Blodget. The lawsuit alleges Merrill Lynch and Blodget violated federal securities law by issuing analyst reports on Exodus "without any reasonable factual basis." In December 1999, Exodus Communications stock rose 15 per cent to more than $165 a share after Blodget began covering the stock with near- and long-term "buy" ratings. 📅 - eBay Deploys Radware Application Switching - Intelligent application switching solution developer Radware (radware.com) said on Friday that the company's products have implemented by online marketplace eBay to provide maximum performance, high availability and reliability for its network and infrastructure. 📅 - Red Hat Expands Services With Acquisition - Linux developer Red Hat (redhat.com) has reportedly acquired server monitoring software company NOCpulse, a move that will allow Red Hat to offer increased network administration functions, including the ability to monitor networked computers as a group. NOCpulse's Command Center application monitors computers running a variety of operating systems. Along with Linux-based servers, Command Center allows centralized administration of Sun Solaris servers and servers running Microsoft Windows and Unix boxes using HP's HP-UX. Analysts say the enhanced monitoring and management features will give Red Hat a stronger ability to compete in the high-end server market
